The Social Worker in Me . . . Letters to My Children About Culture and Positive Self-Esteem by Scholar Ndip Takem which addresses issues of self-esteem and the elevation of children through the acquisition of knowledge about the cultural heritage of their family will be presented to the public at the New Americans Book Fair on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 5590 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio beginning at 12pm.

Through The Social Worker in Me that delves in multicultural issues, Scholar hopes that parents from diverse cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds can help share their stories to their children.

She also hopes that children will learn about themselves through the acquisition of knowledge about the cultural heritage of their family.

Scholar N. Takem is a Licensed Independent Social worker. She was a clinical social worker for many years in a Children’s Hospital in Ohio. She is currently working as a School Social Worker in Ohio. Multicultural issues and self-esteem issues are some of her interests.
